Who
is Drew Hart &
his Hognoses
My name is Drew Hart—First and foremost, I am Generation X, so watch out! I am an Army vet with BA/MA degrees in psychology and 25 years in legal tech. This site documents my hognose snake hobby (currently at three hognose snakes): Rodney (regular, unknown genetics) from Northshore Pets, Max (Albino Conda, 100% het snow) from Michigan Made Reptiles, and Alan (Purple-line ArcticConda het Snow) from Fox Science, all born in 2024. I also enjoy my dog Sugar, Technology, and Science.
While focused on my Hognose Hobby, this is a personal site where I may include anything - prepare to be surprised!
Drew Hart’s Hognose Snakes:
Alan - Western Hognose. Purple-line ArcticConda het Snow.
Named after: Alan Mathison Turing (23 June 1912 – 7 June 1954) was an English mathematician, computer scientist, logician, cryptanalyst, philosopher and theoretical biologist. He was highly influential in the development of theoretical computer science, providing a formalisation of the concepts of algorithm and computation with the Turing machine, which can be considered a model of a general-purpose computer. Turing is widely considered to be the father of theoretical computer science. (from Wikipedia)
Max - Western Hognose. Albino Conda, 100% het snow.
Named after: Max Karl Ernst Ludwig Planck (23 April 1858 – 4 October 1947) was a German theoretical physicist whose discovery of energy quanta won him the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1918. (from Wikipedia)
Rodney - Western Hognose. Normal. Unknown Genetics.
Named after: Meredith Rodney McKay, Ph.D, is a fictional character in the 2004 Canadian-American Sci-Fi Channel television series Stargate SG-1 and Stargate Atlantis, two military science fiction television shows about military teams exploring two galaxies (Milky Way and Pegasus) via a network of alien transportation devices. He went by Rodney throughout the show. (from Wikipedia)
You might notice a pattern in my naming—it is based on Scientific figures, both real and fictional, that I admire. I plan to continue this tradition in the future.
